Mac-a-roons

Yes, u read it right. Once again, I am blogging about macaroons :D With pictures this time!

Even right now as I'm typing this, I'm craving for it. Besides ice cream, i've never craved for something so constantly. Sigh. Thank god it's not fattening. It's not, right? :O

Okay so i'm gonna list down my favourite macaroons so far. The ones i've tried in KL(only). Of course I haven't tried Ladure Macaroons. That's my dream though! One day, I MUST eat Laduree Macaroon! *wishlist*

#1 favourite Macaroon : Levain's



Oh my god, the moment this dainty tiny food entered my mouth, I feel like screaming. I did actually, after eating them. I screamed out loud, in the car. My mum just laughed and my sis Shigim joined me screaming later. Lol. Yes, it's that good. My favorite has got to be Hazelnut Praline, the white macaroon with chocolate icing in the pictures above. It's so heavenly!!

#2 favourite Macaroon : Whisk's Peanut Butter Macaroon

The macaroons at Whisk are the tiniest macaroon i've come across, so far. But it does taste good! My favourite's the one in blue in the picture above ; Peanut Butter! It's so yummy! The others are 'okay okay'.

#3rd favourite Macaroon : Annatasha Saifol's


Remember in my previous post , I mentioned about her? Sorry for the low quality picture =( This picture just don't do justice to her lovely macaroons. I really do love her macaroons! I ate and ate until I realized that I haven't taken a picture of it! Sigh *face palm* The chewy and springy texture is just lovely. And I'm thinking of ordering again, and the ranking might just go up to #2 :D

#4 favourite macaroon : Breadties

Okay, so far , the Macaroon's at Breadties are the most reasonably price, and affordable Macaroon's i've eaten. It tastes good, but it's not as magical as Levain's. I would describe the Macaroons as, snack-ish, u can just eat them, but the taste doesn't linger in your mouth, unlike Levain's.

#5 : Harrods


Honestly, Harrod's macaroons are my first Macaroons. Few months back, the whole town's been buzzing about Macaroons and I thought, hmm why not I give it a try? And at that time my friend Nadiah was working there. So I thought I should buy something there instead of just drop by and chit chat with her. Heh. I have to say, the macaroons in Harrods are my least favourite macaroons =s I just like the Choc flavour and the others are just ..blergh >.< And the colours aren't even nice! Pfft.

Okay these are just my opinion, according to my tastebuds :D Different people have different taste, right? :)


That's all for now! I wanna have some rest. I baked a whole lot of cakes today! And I blogged in between baking, hihi. I baked 5 carrot cake, 2 orange cakes, 8kg of Butter Cakes, and now i'm resting. Mum's baking 2 choc cakes and I'm gonna ice them later.

I might be blogging about Macaroons again, but the next time will about about MY macaroons! Hihi. I've made them 3 times, FYI. And no, the third time wasn't a charm, it was disastrous ! Sigh.
